I was in the gun store the other day drooling over some 1911's and the guy behind the counter was showing me one that came with an extra barrel capable of shooting 22lr slugs that fit into 9mm casings. He showed me one of them and they were super strange looking, but for the life of me I can't remember what he called them. Seems like that would be a crazy round with a slug that tiny with that much powder.

Anyone heard of them, know what they're actually called, or shot some of them?

Thanks :)

Now to spend the rest of the morning Googling and watching YouTube videos of it.

Those bullets are so small and travel so fast, I wonder how body armor stacks up against them?

A regular .22LR 36-40gr slug is somwhere between 1000 and 1300 FPS
At 2200fps, I wonder what the rifling is like on the barrel? Twist rate?
and what RPM the slug is traveling at?
and would the slug be in danger of disintegrating/burning up?
or would it have to get closer to 3000-3500FPS before that is a problem?
