It definitely not a 3-gun round. Just a flatter version of .223. I'd use it for hunting.

Yes. That would be a great caliber and platform for kids to get started hunting predators and deer under probably 200yds.

With a 100 yard zero drop is only 10" at 300. If you zeroed at 200 you'd be within 5" from 0-325.
