So this got a wee-bit of asking for in another post so I figured I'd indulge the masses. This here's my "Go fast, ballin' on a budget" Rimfire Open gun.

  • Ruger 22/45 Lite in BabyDookie Greentm
  • TandemKross Comp
  • TandemKross Victory Flat Trigger
  • Kanewolf Slingshot
  • Striplin Custom 90-degree CMore mount
  • Striplin Custom Gas Pedal
  • CMore 6MOA dot
  • TandemKross Charging dongle.

Nice! I've always been curious about the 90 degree mounts, does it obstruct your view at all when transitioning left? Lots of people use them so I'm guessing not, but thought I'd ask.

I've run it through some living room dry-fire practice and just burned some magazines through it for a function test so far. I haven't found that the 90-mount really blocks anything given that I'm usually focused on the array well out in front of the gun.

Not quite as decked out, but here's my steel challenge Ruger.
How do you like the venom? I just ordered one for a 22/45. I was a little concerned about the 3moa dot. I seriously considered the viper, but was turned off by the battery being underneath.

I'd prefer the 6moa dot, but having the battery underneath was a deal breaker.
It's a sweet little sight, just prefer a bigger dot.

How do you like that tandemkross comp? Why the 90* mount? Gun does look good.
90 mount puts the dot closer to the bore rather than way over the top if just rail mounted. The TK comp is good, it's a .22 so it's mostly for weight out front and for that added high speed, low drag look.

Venom is a top load battery & they now have a 6moa version. Razor has a battery drawer & is 6moa.
Viper has the battery underneath & is 6moa. The Viper is more suited for a slide mount like a M&P core or Glock MOS or any of the various carry optics setups in my opinion.

I like other peole showing off their Steel Challenge .22's

I of course don't have a picture here at work but I shot my first Steel Challenge last year and love the sport. Especially since I can afford to play more with my ruger. It also lets me make my version of a "Race Gun" that I can tinker with and has a much cheaper "did I break it?" factor.

Is there any reason other than preference for the CMore vs a Vortex Reddot?
