Mike:

I think the state match could be huge if we could get more of the newer shooters in the state to finally "pull the trigger" and decide to attend a major. I have experienced a combined attitude of "im not good enough to shoot a major" from a lot of the newer people I have met.

Ill be pushing these matches hard at ITPSC. Hopefully the other MDs across the state will talk it up and encourage attendance.

It may just take a little uplifting of spirits and encouragement to get people to shoot a major. Sometimes cost is prohibitive as well.

How much was last years sectional?

wasnt bad if I remember right it was around 85

I'm no better I assure you I just have more time to filter what I'm saying while typing and have time to look at it before I post. Otherwise I'm sure I'd probably have a new career at standup or have a restraining order from someone with "feelings"

I want people to talk about this next sectional for years to come. :)
Uh, I'll be talking about the last one for years to come.
Think about it, what match have you shot that allowed you to be like a scene on Star Trek?
The one with Magnetic Gravity Boots...except without the quick release,
so you could take the next step.
With 3lbs of red clay on each foot from the ankles down, we had no quick release.
The vacuum or negative pressure, which ever you prefer, when trying to take a step was epic!
Give me mud, guns and boo__...I mean boots, any time.
It was a good-un.
Can't wait for the next-un.

Are there any updates on when this match is going to happen? I am pulling together my major match schedule for 2015 and would like to make it back to this match.

Hopefully it will be less "Soggy" this year. After the match last year I bagged up my pants and shoes at the range. When I got home and opened the bag and showed my wife her face was like........ :o

One a good note, I used the Climate Shield version of the Solomon Speed Cross 3 shoes and VERY MUCH to my surprise my feet were still dry with zero water or mud on the inside after slopping around in the mud all day. These shoes are my go to kicks for the sloppy mudy range conditions. They also work great in snow/slush, but you guys probably don't have to worry about the "White Stuff" in Oklahoma.
