It is that time of the year again when Hornady presents Pandemic 2014 in Grand Island Nebraska.

I am entered again this year and last year's squad looks like it is returning.

wife and i are in. some rumors that longest shot will be 100 yards but that for now is just talk. i hope they post the course of fire soon.

Last 3 years I have been had 200-300 yard shots but only on one stage and it was 5 targets 2 shots on each target

First year was the 308 at 200 and it was a side stage. Last year was the timed long range stage. I heard the iron sight shooters were not able to see the targets.

Wait, what? How far out did they have these targets and what were they?

Sometimes I wish I was a comp guy. Some of these matches you guys shoot just sound like a lot of fun.

So I heard this is sold out how many boomer shooters are coming and when will you be in grand Island. We soot league trap on Thursday night and you are wecome to try your shotgun out. League is only 20 min from Grand Island. Come out and shoot it is the best 15$ you can waist. It is 50 rock so bring 50 extra rounds of 12 or 20 gage . Let me know and I will give you tbe details on it. Trust me it is a blast to shoot.

well sounds like the competition may be a little stiff this year heartland shooting park just announced the Miculek family is coming to shoot. Well elephant dung all that practice and wasted ammo for nothing.

If any of our boomer shooter are coming my way for this event check out the website they posted the stages. Looks like there is a long shotty course and a few 200 yard targets with a 50 yard bonus pistol target. Ya they are not much for course design but it looks fun again this year. I know some may say zombies are stupid but this has become a huge event for our range.

I am on squad 6, but I just had to cancel the trip I have managed to re-injure my back. I can move and get around but not reliably enough to shoot a match. Get to see the doctor Friday, ugghhh! was just starting to get better.

The match was a fun time! The props and stage layout were fun and a bit more challenging than last year which is good.
