2014 Oklahoma USPSA Sectional - 9/6/2014

The CZ's are sold - I'm 100% open from here on out. I'll be there slinging lead making a bunch of noise while running around not hitting elephant dung :)

I finished 4th in revo at area 4 and we had more contestants than single stack. That's a top 5 finish ;).

Ok. I guess it does need some splaining. We simply cannot put on a one day Sectional and host all divisions. One, it wouldn't impact attendance one way or the other and two, we would have to prepare awards for all classes in the other divisions, which costs money, which would in turn raise the entry. We were just going to recognize limited and production, but one of the staff (interestingly enough not me, the only open shooter on the "staff") recommended adding a third division and it was unanimous that Open was it. We have about the same amount of Open as SS as Revo, on average, at the monthly matches so it was a toss up. I think it will be a great format and since Lim and Prod are the two big divisions anyway, it should be a great turnout. As far as the shooter cap. We only have a day to shoot 10 field courses, which means no more than 10 squads, and to shoot each stage in 45 minutes or less, really need to keep it to 10 shooters per squad.
There was another question about the RO's. There will be one certified RO per squad and they will be responsible for the rules, etc for that squad on each stage. This way we can shoot like normal on Saturdays and the RO's won't be at a disadvantage for the match.
Hope that answers most of the questions to date. I don't really think we will be in a position to have to turn anyone away.

I can't wait, I'm going to do this one. This will be my first big match. I think I'll bring an extra bag for all of the hardware I'll be bringing home. :)

I don't think it should be on the same day as the regular match then. Kinda leaving a few of us regulars out.

Your newly legal 8 shot revolver is also legal in production.

And you kick my ass in overall results most of the time when I'm shooting limited.

If it's not on a regular match day it'll most likely conflict with another match.
This was the reason the SS match at scrap last fall didn't gain any traction.

Probably but if your limiting classes of there was another match it would give us other guys options

Good info.

Revo, SS, and L10 are going to be eliminated anyway when I become President;-)
