2014 Oklahoma Sectional

I shot 197 A's with a total time of 252.11. Only 1 M. So clearly my stage movement, transitions and split times need work.
Mike Cyrwus shot the match almost a whole minute faster than me. I want to do that.

That's why the hell my papers weren't matching up with practiscore. Damn technology.
The scoring on the nooks counted steel as A's (since they're the same point value as an A I assume). So when the scores were tallied on the nook for your time on the stage, any steel would have been added to the Alpha/Steel box on the paper sheet.

Yeah that's what threw me. I was counting up the numbers on the yellow score sheets I took home.
I'm a dummy sometimes and don't think about steel targets.

Luis, Stop your whining!
I hit 214 Alphas in way to much time.
Luis Renova shot the match almost 7 minutes faster than me. I want to do that!

I'll echo whats already been said...thank you match staff for an awesome match.

To me, the state sectional is a tradition. It allows the shooters from across the state to come together and compete/meet at one match. There was a time when we had "team oklahoma" that wore blue jerseys and traveled to matches as a state team. I still have a picture of us from the area 4 match in shreveport years ago somewhere. The section coordinator and section leadership would be a huge part of the the section match, especially during the awards ceremony. At this time im not real sure an organized leadership for the OK section exists.

That being said, I was very honored to take home the state champ trophy in production. It was not an easy win at all, with strong shooters like Lance, Chris and GT in the mix.

The trophies were amazing. Tony took the time to put limited gun images on the limited trophies and production gun images on the production trophies. They didnt even do that at nationals.

We have a great group of shooters in this state, as a section i hope we get more active and organized.
Eric,

I'm sorry that you feel that the leadership in the Ok Section does not exist. I have tried to bring everyone together by emails , there is $500 in the bank of the Sections money, which I think has'nt been done in a long time. OKC put the match on with their own people and resources which I feel they did an excellent job considering the conditions.

Please explain to me what you feel a Section Cordinator responsibilties are? I have tried to handle the slot's distribution in the fairest way possible, I set up an email account that people can contact me anytime, and i don't recall ever getting anything from you about your concerns.

If you feel that you can do a better job then I will step down and let you take over.

Hey Rob, I want to apologize for that post. I have re-read that a couple times and every time I do I feel even more stupid for posting it.

I'm not exactly sure why I worded things in a criticism like that. People who know me know that not exactly my style and I'm usually a PM or email type of guy. I also like to come with a solution or two if I have a gripe. What I really just wanted to convey was that I believe Oklahoma has a great set of clubs and a lot of great shooters and I hope that we can have more awesome matches and events in the future.

I'm going to chalk that one up to "I should have stayed away from the Jager that Seth left in the ice chest". It was probably the stupidest thing I have ever posted on an internet forum. You've done a good job man. I do have some questions though (not criticisms) and I'll send you an email.

I'm going to take my crayons and go back over to the corner and color now.
