This is going to be a great match this year. The event kicks off Friday with some free shooting clinics by some of the top shooters in the world including BJ Norris, I heard there were others but I have not heard the names. Then into the evening with a shooter sign in and reception. Following the reception we will have a live band and bonfire. 14 stages of fire (Rumor is this may be televised). Don't miss this match, NSSF, staff, and sponsors are going for broke to make this match worthy of a world class event. limited to 200 shooters, and right now we are sitting at about 140, so do not delay.

We had a thread about this awhile back, but I can't find it. If you have the entry fees, and more details, it would be appreciated. :D

Round Count will be between 420 and 450 rounds. Prize table will be by order of finish. May only enter one division.

So, Its either rifle or pistol? The last was open to rifle and pistol.
I think it is still both rifle and pistol, half the stages are rifle, half are pistol. Entering only one division is for choosing between either limted (iron sights) or open (optics). If you shoot rifle with a dot, but iron sights pistol, you will be in open division.

I asked the match director while on enos about posting stages ahead of time and he said they would not be posted.l

Got this from the match director's posts on ENOS:

Minimum round count is 440. The 700 on the webpage is the recommended amount to account for misses, dropped ammo, potential for a reshoot, etc. Of the 7 pistol stages, 2 have 7 targets, 3 have 6 and 2 have 5. Of the 7 rifle stages, 5 have 7 targets, 1 has 6 and 1 has 5.
MGM is the target supplier for the World match, which we are sure you will enjoy!
The stages are in the match book which will be delivered to competitors at check-in on Friday.
I would certainly plan to check-in Friday and stay for the evening festivities which will include Pro-Clinics, demos, etc.
There are still slots available, but registration will close September 22 so that we can finalize squads and the stage rotation schedule.

FYI, thanks to Gold Coast Armory, NSSF and ATK, there will be CCI mini-mags available for purchase at the World match. 300 count bricks @$27. There will be a limitation on the amount, like enough to shoot the match.

The cost on the bricks will be $30.00 per 300 rnd brick. Friday evening will definitely be worth the time. Also, NSSF only allotted us 60,000 rnds, so the ammo is limited and will be first come basis.

I think I was the only one there sporting the Boomer Shooter Jersey.
I saw & talked with Rick Honey Sunday briefly while waiting for the results to be final, and awards. I also saw Jeff Hughes and son too. If I met any other Boomer Shooters, I didn't know it.

Old Fort did a great job hosting the match, my first time there and I had a great time! Stages were fun and weather was perfect.

I got schooled by many a 12 & under shooter, and some guy named BJ Norris showed everyone how its done :)
I finished 55th out of 167 entries, which is an improvement for me from last year.

I hope it comes back to Old Fort next year and keep the event in this part of the country.
