Arkansas Section Handgun Match

Hello Shooters:

The 2013 Arkansas Section Handgun Championship will be held at CASA during the first weekend in June 2013. Setup will begin on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at 0830 and the staff will shoot the match on Thursday May 30 and Friday May 31, 2013. The match will be held for all other competitors on Saturday and Sunday June 1 & 2, 2013. I will be the match Director this year and will be posting further notifications as information becomes available. Please place these dates on your calendar and come on out and have some fun with us. There will be 12 stages of fire and a CRONO stage consisting of between 250 and 300 rounds minimum to complete. Please let me know if you can with setup as your help will greatly appreciated. More to come in future posts. in the near future you will be able to down load a match entry package from the CASA website at www.casarange.com.

Online squadding has been set up with USPSA and will be open for your use the 14th of February. Get me your entry forms ASAP so you can squad with your shooting buddies. The squads are limited so GET ER DONE! See you at the match.

Hello Shooters,

I just completed the self squadding configuration with USPSA and self squadding is now open. I had a question from a shooter as to the match fee for junior shooters. As in the past juniors will shoot the match for 1/2 the adult fee. The Junior match fee will be $55.00. Please get your entrys in as quickly as possible as the squads are limmited to 10 shooters each. If you have folks you would like to shoot with squad quickly as once the squads are full you will have to split up. A very good reason to enter early. I hope to see you at the match.

The match is coming along nicely. The stages are being reviewed by NROI and should be ready soon. When I get approval I'll post the walk throughs. The round count will be 310 minimum so bring more, alot more. Also please bring all of your ammo to the range on the first day just in case we decide to shoot through due to weather. There are still over 100 slots available but squad 7 is already full. Please get you entries in early so you have a better chance to squad with your buddies. The squads are limited to 10 per so they will fill up fast. We are working on the hotel deals now and should have some info about places and rates soon. I hope to see you at the match.

Am I dreaming or at some point did I see something about a sponsor slot being given away to someone that bought a 2013 boomer shooter jersey?

Hello Shooters,
Just 66 days left until the Arkansas Section Handgun Championship. This year’s match will consist of 12 fun but demanding stages of fire totaling 308 rounds, plus CRONO, minimum to complete. As many of you know we are using USPSA online squadding this year and it is going very well. I have already received 62 entries. We will be able to accommodate 120 shooters in 12 squads. We already have 2 full squads. Make sure you enter early so you will have a better chance to shoot with your buddies. We will be serving a picnic style lunch on Saturday that is included in your match entry fee. Get your entries in to me ASAP. Remember the entry fee increases to $135.00 on May 17th. I hope to see you all at the match.

Hello Shooters,

Just a note to bring you up to date on the 2013 Arkansas Section Handgun Championship. We are getting several entries per day but still have many slots available. As of this post there are only 3 squads that are full. Please get your entries in so that you have a good chance of shooting with your buddies. We will be running 2 ROs per stage this year if we can get enough to do so. Right now I still need 5 ROs to do that. If you are an RO and would like to work the match please let me know on your entry form. I will contact you if you will be working the match and I'll either hold your entry fee or make other arrangements with you. ROs will shoot the match on May 30,31 and then run a stage on June 1,2. I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the match.
