Since I got divorced I lost all my hunting areas out West, how are the coats looking? good and thick or just normal? just curious what they think the winter is gonna be like.

I've seen a mess of yotes this year so far and believe it or not I've seen 5 cats so far! this is the most amount of cats I've see not hunting them in I know 10 years saw 2 fox in a neighborhood right off I-35 and 89th walking down the street. Too bad the fur prices are not better, I used to make decent money back in the mid 80's with furs.

The one my brother killed had a pretty nice pelt. Weighed close to 40lbs too. The 4 I shot today didn't have very thick pelts, not mange just not the thick winter fur, and didn't weigh over 35lbs. The ones I've seen on our land while feeding cows are big burly bastards, can't wait to call them in.

Way to go Wormeydog! Four in one day is a great day in anybody's books.
Like everybody else is saying, there sure a lot of cats and dogs this year. I'm starting the trapline tomorrow. Cats are the only thing bringing any money, and its not great money.

We are using 6.8 now and we're still waiting on our SDN-6's. should be here by march. Just in time for the 'season' to be over. Lol
