Quail population estimate hit a record low in August.

On another note, I am waiting to see what this storm blows in tonight.

I figured as much. I have scattered farms, and have to move equipment down the roads. Typically I'll see quail on the roadside, and kind of get an Idea of how its going in my area. This year, I didn't see a single bird. I see from the report that the North Central area is particularly hard hit. I believe it.

I saw a few birds around sw oklahoma the last time that I went down, just not as many as I am used to seeing. Hopefully we will have mild winter and the populations will come back next year. Although the last few years I was told were bad years and we were still able to find enough birds to get a limit. Now if we could shoot better we probably would have gotten our limit.
