2011 Oklahoma Section Championship May 28th

from John Bent the match director...
Hi Folks;

2011 Oklahoma Limited & Production Championship â€" we just had our stages approved by USPSA. 8 stages, all field courses, and the round count is just under 240. The shortest stage is 27 rounds and almost all the rest are 30+. It’ll be fun.

That is going to be a LOT of magazine changes for us Production guys.
At 10 rounds per mag... how many magazines do you think I am going to need to shoot this match?!

I have never needed more than 4 on the belt and 1 in the gun, and I've shot about a dozen Majors and lots and lots of club matches in production.

Thanks... I have four mags and they have gotten me through all the club matches I have shot so far. Good to know I was right in thinking about getting a 5th mag for this match.

That 5th mag would be a SHTF moment on a huge steel stage or somethign weird like that. I needed 6 mags at my 2nd or 3rd match. I only had 5! :(

You shoot that little Glock like a champ BTW. I was impressed. During your first stage at 3 gun I fully expected that I would be able to help myself from telling you you needed a bigger gun. You shut me up (which is hard to do) with your shooting!

Thanks. That g19 is my first and only handgun. I like shooting matches with it because it gives me trigger time with the gun that I rely on for protection.
....but, I plan on buying g34 for the IPSC game. I sold that shotgun I had at the 3 gun match to start raising the funds. :D
I hope to be able to buy the g34 sometime this summer! I am justifying it because I am a big guy and I look silly with a little gun :lol: and at least my IPSC gun will be the same operations (safety, trigger, reloads) as my carry gun.

Dave Sevigny, World Champion Production Division, won that title wearing FIVE of my KyTac mag pouches (and holster)

Sometimes, you do a reload that's technically unnecessary for the stage, but it allows you to shoot the stage smoother and faster.

At one major match, I once did six reloads (single stack) on a stage for that very reason. I won the Division.

It's nice to have the option.

I'll be shooting Limited C class...any info on Stage Diagrams yet? I saw that they're all field courses and round count is gonna be high. Are we shooting a classifier?
