2 Monthly Carrygun Matches at Heartland?

Who else shot this as their first match?

Thoughts and comments about the match and your skill level, then to now, would be appreciated!

This was my first match ever. As for skill level, I would say match novice, but I have a weapons background in the military. I thought the match was a blast and look forward to the next one.

conceal,or not to conceal? That is the question. I practice drawing from my conceal holster everytime I go to the range on my off time. To me I enjoy carrying my everyday gun at these matches, but I don't focus on what holster i'm drawing from. I like to practice trigger manipulation, target acquisition, and fast reloads. If others shoot with "race guns" it doesn't concern me. I compete with myself. I started out shooting in the 120's now i'm down into the 80's. I'm about to be in crapghanistan so I would like to see these matches being 2 times a month. So that no matter when i'm on leave, it will increase my chances of being able to make it to a competition. I have enjoyed these past 4 months shooting with you guys. And I want to shoot every chance I have.

This was my first match. It was great, great, great. I had a hard time not grinning like a fool the whole time. Very nice range. I'm on board now.

Don't know if I am asking in the right place but how much ammo do you need to shoot the Hartland match

100 should do ya , and $20 for entry. - little over 40 for the night if you buy the Winchester bulk pack of 100 at w-mart for 20 bucks.
