2-25-12 3 Gun @ OKC Gun Club

I have it now. I have a few new bolts, so I'm going to try another out. The barrel is from LOKI and made by Satern, so I'll get in touch with them if I can't figure it out. I'm also going to try some different ammo in it. I'm with David too. My first thought was that it was engaging the rifling when the bolt closes and maybe the OAL was too long. I'm heading out to OKCGC this week, so I'm going to see what I can come up with. The bullet was just barely stuck, but it doesn't take much to have a major problem.

I have seen ammo from the big manufacturers be jacked up. Maybe check the COAL of those rounds and the crimp?

If anyone wants to try their hand at stage design for the next match let us know. Curly and I could use the input/help.

Will they post the stages from SSM3G prior to the match? If they do, there may be something we can replicate. It may not be practical, I'm not sure.

Benjamin,

Definition, "leade"

That portion of a firearm's barrel immediately in front of the chamber where the the bullet travels prior to contacting the rifling.

The bullet is engaging the rifling upon chambering. Either the bullet is seated out too far or you need to increase the leade.

Bench rest shooters and some hunters obsessed with accuracy actually load rounds that contact the lands. Bolt guns only.

thought on benjamin's problem. The rounds are seating and firing if i understand. As i remember the problem was that it would not manually eject the last unfired round. Think it might be more in the chamber area than coal? I didn't look too closely at the ejected rounds once they were removed but i don't think they had marks on them did they? Did the bullet or brass appeared disfigured or anything anywhere (as to indicate maybe where they were hanging up)? just a thought.

Troy, Scott had a great time as did I. He said he definately wants to come back again. I think he's already looking at new gear, shotgun for sure.

yeah you are right, it fires fine, just when i went to manual eject...

also, jesse i am going to design a stage where you shoot rifle at 200 yards, then safe rifle, run a 100 yard lap, 12 shotgun, 50 yard lap, 18 pistol.... par time of 1080 sec..

Here's a couple of my stages

Yes they should and they should also have stages posted from the first 3 Gun Nation Pro Series match too. I just need help setting them up. In March and April I can't get away for 5 hour son a Friday. I'll need to come out after work to set mine up.

Usually set up starts about 1. We are going to need all the extra help we can get because some of the people usually putting this on will be at SSM 3 gun.

Therein lies a problem. I don't have keys for the trailer and it about killed me to load everything into my truck off the trailer then unload it on the stage. I'll visit with curly about setup.

I'm stoked that we're on for next Month. I'm gonna try to make ussa on sunday too so I could take a couple of you guys with me if we can split gas costs.

I'll make it a point to be there for setup next month... Hopefully we can pull together and make this happen!

We should have daylight savings time working for us then too. So it should be light out until close to 8:00. It takes a good 60-90 minute to set a stage if u have a good game plan on what you want to do. That's why I was hoping I we could get 3-4 people with a stage in mind to set up a stage. Curky can walk the. To make sure they are good to go.

i can probably help out if i can come out later (like 6:30), also i can come up with a stage also... let me know..
