Just talked with Black Dog earlier today. Looks like they got ALL the parts in stock now and are doing some fine tuning on the side load feature as it was binding a little, apparently, in the middle of the compression cycle. I don't know if it's something out of spec, or needs a slight design tweek, etc....I'll try to update things again as soon as I know anything more concrete.

I just called Black Dog and they were confident that we would have our steel lip mags in the next 30 days or less. They changed the design on them which is the reason for the delay. Hopefully they run 100% when we get them and the wait was worth it.
