I got this pistol 18 months ago from Shawn Hoague at dogfacesupply dot com, and only last weekend did I finally take it out to the range. It was the first time I've ever shot a pistol built by the US Army for the National matches at Camp Perry. Wow!
I'm a collector, certainly not a shooter, but this gun made me look good. The target shown was 50 rounds at 20 yards, and it's easy to see my first 5 rounds before I settled down a bit.
What I really enjoyed, was the break down, cleaning and inspection afterward. The gun is tight. There's no turning the barrel bushing when in battery without a bushing wrench. (1/4" out of battery, it turns easily)
The trigger pull measures a very consistent 4 lbs. The sear face is dressed and the disconnect was very lightly stoned. Trigger slides smoothly with no perceptible up/down or side-to-side play.
