1911

I'm in the market for a 1911. I've got about $600 to spend and seen several Ruger 1911's in that price range. I've got a gp100 and lcrx that I really like, so I'm assuming the 1911's are good too.

Wondering of anyone knows if the ruger 1911's are reliable or if I should be looking at a different brand.

I shoot a Ruger 1911 in USPSA and it is very accurate & reliable.
(Accurate Iron did a trigger job on one of mine and that made it even better)

You can probably find a used Springfield Armory in that price range also. I've never heard anything to make me think the Ruger isn't worth the money though.

Yeah my brother is all about Springfield. I've been watching for them too.

I read Para is a good brand too. Anyone know about those?

STI Spartan V in 45 has been good gun and it's close to your price range.

It's hard to go wrong with springfield.

I've been told the Springfield is the best bang for the buck tho no one has said anything bad about the STI series..
