What is a Swartz safety, what does it do and what 1911's have it/don't have it?

its a variation of the 80 series safety that actuates off the grip safety instead of the trigger bow. S&W1911s are one example of a company that uses them. Which dont? ones that either have 80 series internal safeties or those that are "70" series and dont have any internal safety mech

correct. Kimber ser II is a better example of the swartz than the S&W.
