1911 Fanatic

I'm 71 and a veteran of three years as an infantryman in the Army. I was a city police officer from 1976 - 1979 and for the next ten years I served as a security officer for the Dept. of the Army where I was eventually assigned to the Special Reaction Team as team leader and firearms instructor. I've been carrying 1911s since I was a 17 year old soldier in1965. I was born and raised and still live in Alabama. I retired a year and a half ago and hope to soon relocate to South Dakota. Here, there, and everywhere I'll be carrying a 1911 or a Browning High Power. I'm not a gunsmith, but I do enjoy swapping parts on my 1911s and would like to get a little deeper into doing so.
