Anyone got a suggestion for an 18inch barrel for an AR. Ive been looking around and Im not sure I really wanna spend 600 on a JP barrel. any suggestion for barrels that are good quality that wont break the bank? Id like to stay in the 200 price range so just let me know

From what I've seen, DPMS mk12 is the cheapest. If you can add 50-60 to the budget the "white oak armament SPR" or 18" from bravo company. If you can add 100 to the budget the LOKI double fluted barrel is light and has some great reviews that I have read.
Keep in mind I'm no expert, I've just tried to wear out the forum search button
Hope it helps!

I'm more than happy with my LOKI 18" double fluted barrel.
It's very light weight and far more accurate than I am. And it looks badass too :D

Check with "the antichrome"
Crossbones has some barrels and it is supporting a local company. I'll be getting mine this week.

Crossbones LLC is a gun shop in Bentonville, AR. (and my new sponsor)
They commissioned a small run of custom 18" barrels.
I dont have the tech specs and details yet.
They should arrive next week. I'll post when I have details.

They will also have upper receivers, and later, lowers.

Ill post a review on the barrel and comp.
It SHOULD be assembled this week.
McGuire, are you in a hurry to get a barrel or can it wait a bit?

No rush, I got a parts kit for a steal, VTAC overbuy full kit minus lower for $350, I might be able to get more if anyone is interested. But Im building an AR for 3g, so no big rush. Just let me know

Crossbones/Wilderness Reloaded in Bentonville AR just got a few 18" stainless barrels.
They are rifle length gas with a 1/8 twist.
These are built by wilson arms.

When I get a photo, I'll post it.

White Oak is highly recommended, beyond that things can get spendy. Rainier Arms might have a few options or BCM. Having a brain-fart episode but Rock Creek, Noveske, Brux, Bartlein,Krieger are premium. Lothar-Walther also, Compass Lake does a lot with ARs.,

W-Combat is getting aggressive into AR's along with the rest of the old custom 1911 shops (LRB/WC...etc)
