Yep, I always shoot twice because I CAN. With crowds like last night's, I wouldn't mind if I only got to shoot once. I just need double-practice.GamerNxUSN said:Awesome match! One thought on time saving tips, perhaps, especially during these big turn out matches, have everyone sign up with their first gun. Once everyone is in, if it looks like there is going to be a ton of folks, limit the second gun amount or close it off, and or, have two separate score sheet stacks, that way all the first guns can go through, and the folks shooting second guns can all go after everyone has gone. Just my thoughts.

This is easier said than done, but it's usually not a problem. I'm good with this. Ben2 could announce when we hit forty.
The great turnout we had for a 5th Sunday match was NOT expected! This is a good thing. Let's be prepared to handle more shooters when possible.
The rifles take longer to run and that adds up over 4 stages x 9-10 shooters. But we don't usually have have but one or two rifle shooters, so again, it's not usually a problem. Most rifles are a second-shoot and apply as above. If we hit forty, the shooter can choose just rifle or just pistol.
Also, a "time-out" limit will be looked at, like 60, 75 or 90 seconds. Most stages should be completed in 30 or less, if not 20 or less. I doubt this would save enough time to make a significant difference in the time we finish.
Further, if we have folks assugned or designated to tape certain arrays, the RO can simply ask what the score is. Any doubt or question, the RO can look at a specific target and make the call. The new scoresheets have target arrays separated and would be easy to score: "Array 1, two Deltas," and so on. If we have enough tapers, the range restoral time is shortened, as long as everyone remembers to get back up range in a timely manner so the next shooter can get started. Ok that sounds good. Organization speeds things.
Last night took longer to find the hits, judge the close ones, and tape because the targets got so ripped up. Perhaps having replacement targets readily available to swap would help.
Pasters are faster than masking tape as well.
Thoughts?
yup those things were discussed last night... changes have already been made.. honestly we just didn't expect 50 people!! and 7 people showed up after 6:00 pm..GamerNxUSN said:Awesome match!
