So for some reason I have this crazy idea to SBR a 10/22. I have a Sparrow on order and I bought a threaded 22/45 as a host but I have a 10/22 that was given to me just sitting in the closet. I have 2 ideas of how to go about it. Either going with a 12" barrel and regular stock or going all out and doing maybe around a 5" barrel and a folding stock to make it really compact. What are your thoughts? Anyone here have one of these beasts.

I know. Either way requires a stamp. The first one would just keep it from being really longwith the can attached where with the 2nd one I can see so many possibilities. With the can off that that thing would fit nicely in a backpack. And I would imagine it being pretty light

At first I wasnt sure but the more I look at the short folder I really think that's the way I'm going to go. That thing has to be a blast

Option 2..... If you're going to SBR it, you might as well make it worth it.

Option 1 is Dustin Gaunders rifle, and that automatically makes it gay.

Does it have to be a 10/22? The one on top is a 5" .22 with can attached, the other one is a 5" 9mm upper with can...

Rusty that 9mm SBR is sweet. Ive never shot one but it is on my short list to build. Wall is right I have a like new 10/22 with a red dot that was given to me. I priced 5.5" a barrel for $150 and around $70 for a folding stock so other than the tax stamp Ill have less than $250 in the build.
