Here's a cheap factory load that may work well for you hunters:

I've been shooting these softpoints for over a year on coyotes. I went to zero a new scope today and here's what I did. You'll notice each group has something in common.

5 rounds @ 100 yds:

1 1/4" (1/4" w/o my mistake)

5 rounds @ 200 yds:

2 7/8" (1.5" w/o my mistake)

5 rounds @ 200 yds

3 1/4" (1.5" yadayadayada)

I'm sure it was my mistake on the flyers. I can't shoot groups to save my lass.

These were from an R700 SPS Tactical. The wind was right to left, quartering pretty hard on the 200 yd shots.

100 yard groups ran well under an inch, and these 200 yard groups were typical.
I'm sure some of you shooters could tighten these up quite a bit.

Nice shooting! What magnification were u using?
It's more of a testament of the rifle and ammo. I think that's a pretty good price on a pretty good factory hunting round.

I was on 18X with a Leupold Mark AR. Sitting at a bench, off of a bipod and using a rear bag. I shot maybe 8-10 groups after sighting in.
I ordered some more ammo so my next time to the range I'm going to stretch it to 300.
