You have had it this long for a reason. My thoughts and two cents won't start a rumor. I would spend the money and have it properly repaired and enjoy it. Pass it on to the next generation. Best of luck on your decision.

Unfortunately these problems are all to often. I had to return my RO Champion for FTF. They said they had to throat and ramp it again and polish things up. How about all those details before you ship them out? No fun shipping firearms back and forth. Three days to get! Wasted crummy range day...

I really like my RO Champion in .45. First 1911 I ever owned that didn't have a barrel bushing. Im not crazy about having to use a tool to keep the spring compressed. I really like the fact that I can use Tula ammunition in it without fail. Inexpensive and lots of fun. Enjoy your first 1911.

Just imagine how much money could be saved in certain areas without having to use hard sell advertisements constantly.

I like the way you put that, and its so true! Not a plug and play pistol. I was really surprised when i purchased my Springfield RO Champion. No barrel bushing. I did a double take look.

Mine was about 3 weeks ago. Springfield RO Champion .45. It was a couldnt miss much day. The 25yd and 50yd targets were taking a beating. No flaws with pistol and the Tula and Blazer Aluminum rounds were just working. PMR30 was also working well. I love a range day when it just goes right!

Had a similar experience with SF R.O.Champion. It would not cycle after the FIRST round. Sent it back. They said they had to polish the ramp, and throat. It was better when I got it back. It probably took 300 rounds to get it where I can actually depend on it. It should not have left the factory...
