Buy a box of each, see which one you shoot better and are more comfortable with. What I prefer is my opinion, 200gr., XTP that I hand load. One thing you can be sure of is what ever you shoot is not going to have a good day!

I have Colts, Ria, and Dan Wesson, I no longer own a Wilson. I have had zero problems with all but the Wilson which was as choosy as I have ever seen with ammo. My personal choice is Dan Wesson over Wilson all day long.

I do not have 1911 in 9mm but I do have in 45acp and 10mm. My carry gun most of the time is a RIA BBR310 but hunting I carry a RIA 6" PRO CARRY. I do have a few 9mm for bad times. Although I prefer 45 over 9mm I do not condemn the 9mm lovers. I personally do not want to be shot with either.

Now you are talking about some almost impossible rifles to find. All four of mind are matching parts and only the Springfield is WW2 (very last of war). A friend of mine spent several years buying extra parts to make these matching parts rifles then his wife took bad sick so he sold everything...

they are real pearl and I do NOT shot with them, I change back to the original wood Colt grips. I am crazy just not that crazy. I keep her in a display case on the mantle unless we leave then she goes in the safe.

I am the same way, as funny as some ideas are I will not purchase them. I do have black pearl grips on my nickel Colt 70 series, they really make it look good.

Here in Louisiana we do not have waiting periods, you go to the store, fill out your papers, and if you have a clean record you walk out with your purchase after a brief call to N.I.C.S. If you have a carry license you do not have to wait on the call.
