Does anyone know or have experience with standard manufacturing royal blue 1911 45, I'm thinking about getting one.

I don’t have one but I have read many positive reviews about them and that they are very well made for the price.

    What 1911 brands to avoid?

I will offer my very limited experience here. I have owned 3 1911's in this order. A Ruger SR1911(2012 appr), Springfield Armory Range Officer(2013 appr), and a Dan Wesson Valor(2016). All 3 made trips back to the factory for issues, mostly minor but needed attention. All 3 were reliable. Based...

    Alpha Foxtrot 1911 Issues

I thought that shimming might be a possibility so great that it was a fix for you. Good job. Since the OP’s pistol was shooting low the shim may help that. If not an adjustable style sight would be in order.

    Alpha Foxtrot 1911 Issues

Agreed but if gun maker is non responsive and OP is stuck with the pistol it is not the end of the world.

    Alpha Foxtrot 1911 Issues

It has been almost a year since you posted the issue with the AF. What is the outcome? From what I saw if you are stuck with the pistol none of the issues are major. Annoying yes, but fixable without great expense. 1) The trigger could be fixed in 5 minutes with a sear spring adjustment...

    Don't buy it!

Stopped shooting and went fishing. No problem with high ammo prices here:D

Winchester announces price increase on ammo & components.

When I went in to GT Distributors in October they were selling 9mm 124gr Lawman for $13.99 and Blazer Brass 124gr for $12.99. Not too bad at the time. Everywhere you looked online was $30 plus and now way worse than that. You can't tell me that distributors and retailers aren't the price...

Winchester announces price increase on ammo & components.

It's real simple for me. I just stopped shooting. Many other things to do. Haven't bought ammo in well over a year and won't anytime soon at these prices. It's insane. Kinda like paying $10K for a Covid vaccine when you can get it for free. If things were as they were I would be buying more...

Need to decide. PLEASE help me make the RIGHT decision!

I would not be concerned with a plastic trigger if that is what it is. As previously stated by someone else STI’s have plastic triggers on many of theirs models and they are very good. Springfield would not put junk parts on their gun. They will stand behind them if there is a problem. That’s...

    Just came from gun store

Sorry but I do not buy into the price gouging going on. Was in a gun store last Thursday and saw 9mm 124gr FMJ 50rd box of Lawman for $13.99 and Blazer Brass for $12.99. Limit 100 rds per caliber. Granted these are higher prices than a year ago but if they can sell for those prices now how can...

Need to decide. PLEASE help me make the RIGHT decision!

Springfield has excellent C/S. The one time I needed my experience was exceptional. Don't be concerned about a difference in accuracy regardless of Kimber touting Match grade barrels and triggers. Both are production guns and will perform pretty much the same. Not sure what the Springfield E...

Can someone translate my friend trying to help me, told me?

I think this is the "J" cut your friend is referring to that will leave a mark on the brass. This can be corrected by a skilled gunsmith by careful filing and / or stoning level with the breach face. Just my guess but should not be a big concern.;)
