Have We Killed the Medical Profession

"We" haven't killed anything. The profession committed suicide due to Covid insanity. By backing ineffective mandates and draconian lockdowns. All of which did harm and none of which did any good. They have lost a very great deal of credibility.

Time to start growing your own food.

Ya...THIS I suspect that very soon--if we are to survive--we are about to 'rediscover' skills our parents and grandparents had as a matter of daily life. The 'supply chain' and Ukraine/Russia BS doesn't just affect something far away. Large growers (more and more land is being bought by...

Biden announces the administration's rule on ghost guns

Some available here: https://80pbuilder.com/agent-19-custom Rather than lament over how some genuinely evil people are doing bad things, or donating to lost causes, I might suggest (if you can stand tactical Tupperware) to give Peckerhead Bidumb the fingeroo by going out and getting one.

    Catastrophic Failure

Glad you're OK. Had a G23 Kaboom several years ago with factory remanufactured ammo (the manufacturer was good about taking the ammo back and giving me a voucher for the extractor which had been blown off and a partially stripped magazine catch area on the mag). No damage to gun or shooter...

Add a red dot to my 1911

One thing also to make sure of is test the gun with your carry ammo with the slide/RMR combo. An RMR adds mass to the slide. This USUALLY isn't a problem but might be with some types of slide/ammo combinations.

Add a red dot to my 1911

You might consider different options. Trijicon is the gold standard (I have the older dual illumination on a G17 with backup suppressor sights). It's the MOS version so has the slide already cut. As mentioned previously the best method is a milled slide with backup suppressor sights. The...

    Ruger SP101 build

Agree to a point. I've 2 SP-101's and both were fine right out of the box (one is an early model .38 special before they made .357s). They are the proverbial Ruger 'block of steel'. However, I've found that for CCW longer barrel lengths can be troublesome (and the Ruger IS a bit heavy but...

    Ruger SP101 build

Glad to hear it and hope it works out well for you ! The big dot has worked out well in that the OEM ruger front sight is very hard for me to see. It takes a little bit of practice to get the dot exactly where it should be in the rear sight gutter but once you find the 'lock on' sight picture...

    Trijicon RMR experiences

I've mounted a dual illumination on a G17 MOS. This requires the use of suppressor sights in that while the green triangle is nice (and allows for both precise and quick coarse aiming) it suffers from bright target/dim surrounding washout (which many of the follow ons do not). The suppressor...

How many bullets does your gun hold?

Yup. One of the reasons my rifles have optics or ghost rings and my fighting handguns have big dots or rmrs.

    Good morning

FWIW, since we’re talking about black and white and quick draw, the bad guy drawing against James Arness in the early Gunsmoke beginning scenes was Arvo Ojala — noted holster designer and hollywood firearms instructor. Who had taught Arness to draw and shoot for the series...
