Checkmate Industries mags are the Gold Standard. They are OEM to Colt, Ruger, Ed Brown, inter alia. No gimmicks, just perfect geometry and solid construction. After sixty-four years with 1911s, Checkmates are all I use.

Ditto on Ed Brown's trade-in deal. In my experience the mags you get are EB-branded Checkmates! You can't do better than that.

Aaaand...my first SR1911. Those are genuine ivory grips from the fellow who supplied them to Colt It's a very early production pistol.
