I've used Blade-Tech holsters with good results in USPSA. I believe they have a 5" 1911 holster that will fit just fine.

The short barrel isn't the problem. It's the short sight radius that makes these versions harder to shoot accurately.

I have had the same issue with Wilson ETM, Wilson 47, and Tripp Research mags. I called Tripp and they said to send their mags back to them for tuning. They also explained that slamming mags in with a slide-lock reload causes the inertia of the ammo in the loaded magazine to expand the lips...

My most enjoyable is my custom built Caspian 45. A close second is my STI DVC Limited in 9mm. After these, my Beretta A400 Xcel Black Sporting shotgun.
