Looking for a smith to cleanup and lighten an M&P 9. Got it for my mom and its heavy and rough. Don't want to do any of those do it yourself jobs. Who's up for it? Is Mike still doing any private work?

I like the new model on mine, got it on my AR-10. The mod 2 is the original dog bone style. Only reason I bought them is I pulled the trigger group out many times and loosened up the holes enough they would work out under recoil.

Usually the reason most go with the 1/7 barrel in SBR is they use the heavier bullets due to less muzzle velocity in the short barrel. But if your just shooting 55 grainers then the 1/9 would be good to go. Another thought is if you plan on getting a can on it you might look at the Noveske...

Haven't wasted my money on one in 10+ years, think the last time I went was when I was 21. Over priced junk there, you find better deals online and don't have to wade thru the rednecks.

Well the first step is admitting you have a problem. But it don't look that bad, when you get a safe full and start on a second safe then I think thats a real problem. So just keep cramming stuff in 1 safe and you are fine. I can justify almost anything.
