Tisas seems to ne the best value in a 1911 nowadays for a first 1911. It is reviewed as a good solidly well built handgun anf reliable handgun manufactured to the time honored historic workhorse design by John Browning.
I like potted meat and French fries but I am not Slingblade. The Browning HP is a wonderful pistol used around the world but it is not a 1911, it is more like a Browning 1935.
I am justplanedave. I've been in Aviation since 1976. I hold a Private Pilot and an A&P certificate. I started hand loading in 1976 also. I grew up in rural NE Alabama and held my first WW2 trophy 1911 when I was about 10. I thought it was the best looking firearm in the world and at 61 years...
