I found a guy to do it. Should have them back soon. The guy makes custom wood grips for HK and FAL rifles and they were stippled so I emailed him and he said he'd do my grips for $25.

Is there anyone local that can "smooth" out an 870 action? I don't want to mail it to vang or nighthawk or superior and would like to keep it local if possible. Hopefully it would be cheaper then the big boys as well.

I agree with Mikey. 90% is mindset. But you have to have a base of knowledge in some area. Being a smaller guy I greatly prefer to go to the ground because I feel I have a more level playing field there even with a much larger individual. I have won state in Tae Kwon Do when I was younger...
