What 22LR Pistol do you plink with?

I like revolvers and own two, but I will add I'm not very good with them. I have two retired police officer friends that are very good with them. They used revolvers in the early days of their career and quite proficient with them. Looks like I will have to stick to my semi's.

    RANT: Browning 1911 .380 issues!

Agreed..l have only a couple 380s left. A CZ82 & a backup Kahr P380. Both shoot as intended. But the cartridge is a bit on the weaker end, but in capable hands it's still deadly. Got my wife an EZ 9MM Smith.

What 22LR Pistol do you plink with?

I really like the Colt ACE & even the 1911 22. Kimber. But @ $1000 Plus, I will have to pass. Should have tripped the trigger on one 20+ Years ago.

What 22LR Pistol do you plink with?

Uberti makes some fine arms. I had a lever 1866, & still have a Taylor & Co 1894 (Uberti). Do you have any problems with the 1911 Browning?

    Federal 12ga minis.

I tried the Mini's and found they work great on Rats. But when it comes to really big Rats, I keep ARM "Gatekeepers" in my magazine.

    STI/SVI STI picture thread

I really like STI's, and the 2011 is my favorite. I little overpriced but heirloom quality is not cheap. Is it worth the extra? to some yes, too others ???

Another new 1911 ? this one from Savage!

Number One; I do not purchase a $1000 1911 until I've read reviews, or have shot it and inspected it for myself. Number Two; I do not like big fin safeties, or ambidextrous safeties. A personal preference, Nuf said. .

Another new 1911 ? this one from Savage!

I see they're on Gun Broker for $1100-1200. For me the ambidextrous safety would have to go. Until it really proves itself, I will prefer my Sig & Les 1911's.

    Solid Copper Bullets

I believe the .225 will make a comeback. But then why? The three I have 22-6MM, .223, & the .225 can pretty much be covered with what's out there. The Ledger in my uncles handwriting indicates the .223 with a 25.5 gr cooks out at 4198FPS, 24"Douglas barrel 1/14 twist. 31gr @ 4000FPS. He used...

    Solid Copper Bullets

That is a good question. I heard anywhere from 1000 rds to 1500. But, l won't live long enough to wear out any my barrels.

    Solid Copper Bullets

22-6MM shells are extremely expensive, but the rifle is too nice to rechamber. The Savage 225 shells he reloaded are resized 30-30's. The mini Mauser 223 is interesting. The twist is 1/14 out of it's 24" barrel which =varmint only. I see in his notes he was shooting 30gr-40gr with very accurate...

    Solid Copper Bullets

    How about a Winchester Model 70 22-6MM, 26" Douglas barrel that shoots 1/4" MOA, 51gr.@ 4018FPS
