I like SA Convertible revolvers. Here are a couple, both Ruger Blackhawks. One a 10mm/40S&W and the other a 357/9mm. I have several 45Colt/45ACP convertibles. One example is the Ruger/Lipsey flat top below.

One could put a new barrel in a 10mm and with probably new springs and new mags one could shoot both calibers. Colt made some models in 40 S&W years ago but from what I understand they never sold well. They even made an Elite 10/40 with both barrels; now a collector.

Have both brands and of the two would go with a Colt but examine before you buy. Too bad you can't afford a DW. They are nice. Also Ruger makes the SR1911-CMD in all steel and I think they are nice for the money.
