The Doctor (Greyson) is In!

I just wanted to report another case of how people in the shooting community are awesome people.

As most of you already know, Dr. Barry Greyson is one of the top 1911 pistolsmiths in the country and he is right here in OKC. If you want some custom pistol work done, you owe it to yourself to call Barry.

Last summer I did a small job for him as a favor and never thought twice about it because he is always helping me out with advice and suggestions and never asks for anything. I wasn't expecting anything in return. The other day he calls me out of the blue and asks me to bring my gun over.

He installed a Cylinder & Slide trigger pull set in my Kimber CDP (hammer, sear, disconnector, sear spring and mainspring) and I got to sit in while he was doing the work. I learn more and more about my pistol every time he works on it. He loves to talk you through the job as he is doing it and likes to educate as well as fix your gun.

The trigger is now a nice crisp pull with no creep

I know he wouldn't have wanted me to say anything about it, but when you're a nice guy people are going to talk about you. Barry is a great guy and I consider him a friend.

I will 2nd this. He did some work on my XD9 last spring. I told him I would just leave it with him, and pick it up the next day or so. Whatever was best for him. He said ok. He drove all the way across town to bring it to me at work. When I told him that he should not have done that, he just said that he had nothing else to do. He is a really great guy, and goes out of his way to treat people right. I would not hesitate to take him any of my guns.

Update: Barry also ordered and installed a really nice 25LPI checkered mainspring housing from Ed Brown.

New VZ Aliens grips soon to come.....................

He just changed out my sights on my XD, but he made it clear that he is a 1911 guy. I just told him that if it did not work out, I would not hold it agaist him.lol

He's a great guy. Had him rebuild one of my guns and fix multiple others.

Burk...
I saw your new VZ grips....they look great

. With the new grips , the flat mainspring housing and the new ignition system you now have a very nice package and I hope that it enhances your shooting.
