As shooters, I am sure almost all of us have commented on firearms when watching movies and TV shows. And I'd be willing to bet a dollar it's all negative. What is your favourite pet peave?

Here is mine. In Hollywood, bullets make sparks when they hit anything. I am stil waiting to see this in real life.

My wife even noticed one the other day. You ever notice how when someone on TV or in a movie draws their gun it make the same noise? Like a slide or cocking a hammer? Even Glocks? My Glock doesn't make any sounds when I draw it :)

Another thing I am really proud of her for noticing, is she always says something when someone sweeps their partner with their gun.

I drive my wife up the wall with this. She wouldn't watch action movies with me for a while because of it, had to learn to control my commentary.

1. Racking the slide after drawing the pistol or prior to a known threat showing up

2. Some shows seem to have a lack of any recoil when firing

Thats just a couple of the top of my head. It also really pisses me off when the producers of a show do not take the time to research the proper wear of military rank and uniform on a character of a show.

There's not enough facepalm in the world to fully discuss this topic. lol... Airic, my girl cracks up at me the same way...

I was watching Super Troopers the other day and the scene with the winnebago when they hear the rustling inside, one of the cops pulls out a crossman BB gun.

One of my biggest ones is the last scene in The Bourne Ultimatum when Jason Bourne meets his nemesis (the guy who created him) and he is pointing a Glock at him and the very next scene he is pointing a Sig. FAIL!

Steven Seagal is a legitimate bad man.....but his weapon handling is atrocious. Hollywood..

I also like the ceramic Glocks that can pass undecided thru airport metal detectors....thanks for dropping that dude on us Bruce Willis.

how about.......
"I'm OK, the bullet passed right through"
