Apex Tactical Competition AEK for M&P is the elephant dung!

No, Brandon was here in Alexandria on business calls so we headed over to the indoor range. I wish we would have been at MRPC so we could have run some stages.

Hey Brandon do you have a link handy for any installation vids for the AEK,
In case anyone else is looking-

http://www.youtube.com/apextactical

I'd recommend watching the videos through first in the following order.

Hard Sear install
USB Install
DCAEK install #1 (Same procedure for the comp kit)
DCAEK install #2
Striker Spring install

Did you get it in Scott?
I don't even have it yet and according to my acct. on Apex website it hasn't even been processed or shipped, how long did it take you to get yours? I've been trying to contact them about the status of my order since last week (email and phone calls). Apex may make great products but their customer service SUCKS!

Well Tue. must be customer service day at Apex  received 3 emails saying my order would ship today. Wish I'd known Dawson Precision carried the kit, I'd have it installed by now.

Got my Competition AEK put in my 9 Pro, I wouldn't say it was "easy" but not too bad with help of the videos. Guessing the trigger pull went from 4.5 or 5 lb. to around 2.5 lb. with a much better reset. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow!

Good job Scott - good luck tomorrow and you guys keep me updated on how things went. Looking forward to shooting with you next week

Get your stones out and roll your own..... :)

Apex is good. But the M&P sear is very tunable. The rest is basic striker type tuning. Like decking out the sear. Making sure the striker tang is right. Working over the striker safety button.

Have fun. :)

Second the endorsement of Apex Tactical aftermarket parts for M&Ps. I only have their sear replacement as of now, and though the pistol was shooting just fine before, now it's a dream!
