Ok so I see in the news were this chuckle head in seattle left his rifle on the trunk deck and drove down the road to get some coffee, I've heard stories (weather true or not) of OHP troopers having to come back to McDonalds on the tpk. to get sidearms left on the floor of the bathroom.

Now, if I can help it, I try not to use public bathrooms to answer when nature calls, but due to the fact I have I.B.S. I don't always have that choice. Id rather not have to return somewhere to collect my "wayward" CCW, aside from the fact that some limp wristed, whiner is probably gonna end up calling the cops. I'm not worried about having to deal with law enforcement but I don't want to have to hassel with it either. So when I have to hit the stall I hang my commander sized 1911 on the coat hook or if the T.p. dispenser is large enough I'll set it there.

Anyone have any experiances (that they would rather not share but are willing to) or things that they do whenever they have to answer nautre's call and are carring?

Close stall door. Sit car keys on top of toilet paper dispenser. Sit pistol on top of keys. Sit cell phone on top of pistol.

By putting the keys under your pistol, the furtherest you'll get is the parking lot.

Read a book once (Cold Zero by Christopher Whitcomb) about a guy who was an FBI sniper. They said they were trained to set the pistol inside their pants, on the ground. Problem with this is you still have to set it somewhere while pulling everything up. I am a bit paranoid about it while at church.

I have been known to leave it (my pistol, Taymoor  ) in the pants, between my feet. I carry in a Kytac tuckable so it's a "next step" to re install the holster into the waist and tuck the shirt as one pulls the britches up.

Back of the toilet, Wide TP holders, coat hooks work too.... you just have to remember to replace the gun before you leave.

I found a TSA (TSA Emblem on the grip) pistol on the Restroom sink at Will Rodgers, I didn't touch it. I was travelling with my buddy & told him to watch it & not let anyone in the restroom while I went and got somebody.

LOL that went down hill real fast, I've placed my pistol in my pants between my feet before, NEVER have asked the guy in the next stall to hold it for me, (my pistol that is) LOL LOL

and another reason to make me feel much more safe within our transportation system

At that point he was already finished using the toilet (I'd guess). I can't think of why he wouldn't just holster it instead of laying it on the sink. Also, I can't imagine the look on his face when his co-worker pointed to his empty holster & said "hey, where's your gun".

Where do they find these people to work for the TSA?? Do they just go to MEPS and find everyone that scored CAT4 on the asfab and offer em a job??

First of all, TMI

Second of all I always try to leave my gun IN the holster if at all possible. I pull my boxers over the grip so prying eyes don't look under the stall, see it and start yelling GUN, HE'S GOT A GUN! I always carry IWB so it is easier to leave it on that it would be with a belt holster. Either way though, leave it holstered and buckle your belt in the last hole and you still should be able to "drop trou" If you can't then you needed a bigger belt anyway.

I left my gun in my own bathroom one time and I was embarrassed enough at that. I can't imagine leaving it in a public restroom.

Of course I was speaking in theory earlier. Guys like me, and Jack Bauer, never have to use the restroom. So it's pretty much a non issue for us Samurai.

I carry a mouse gun in my pocket all the time, so that's not a problem. When carrying the Kahr CW-40 ITWB, I'll just pull it from the holster and drop it into a pocket. Reholster when everything gets put in place.
