Red Neck Tactical Rifle Class Discussion

Where were these good reviews for the Geisle trigger? I haven't seen anything on any of the 3-gun based web sites, or were these good reviews on non competitioin sites?

Shoulda kept my mouth shut. I should've known that anything I say you're going to disagree with. I'll remember next time.

The RRA 2 stage trigger works just fine for me...

Will I be able to run my rimfire some for the close stuff?? I can't wait to get a watchful eye over me this weekend!

I bought a JP, how hard are they to install. It came with its own DVD, so I'm assuming it is somewhat meticulous

I've got firsthand exp. with Geisselle, I've sold both of them, and they still haven't replaced the money lost in equipment damage and time!!

JP baby, JP!!!!

What equipment damage is this of you speak Trapr?

I may have my head up my ass most of the time, but I still wanna learn. Be gentle and I will learn. Try to pound it in, and well, that really hasn't worked out for anyone. (i made a butt sex joke)

JP's are easy if you get his safety too. If not, you're gonna spend some time filing on the safety to get it right. The trigger set up, itself, is easy though.

Do I need a belt sander like I saw on youtube? Or can I do it with simpler tools in less than 8 hours of labor?

I've used a couple pieces of sandpaper and the edge of a bench. Take your time, remove a little bit of material at a time, and check the fit.

Watch the DVD.

hammer gouged a groove into bolt carrier, bolt carrier group and hammer were replaced at my cost. both larue and geisselle claimed no responsibility. John, JP sold me a replacement group and trigger for my LaRue rifle, kind of ironic huh!!! Guess what sponsor I dropped and what rifle I shoot NOW!!

Wormy, "where" isn't a disagreement type of word. I really haven't read anything about Geiselle triggers and wanted to know "where" you were getting this info so I could maybe go and ...well...read them. Outside of Trapr's trigger I have no experience with them

Trapr had one rip up the bottom of his 308 LaRue rifles bolt carrier so bad it had to be replaced and F.U. the pins, but that wasn't the 3-gun super duper set up. On the plus side it had a fairly good trigger feel as it was f.u.ing his rifle. (note the use of "rifle" here as it is a 308 and does go through small trees and car doors)

As for you mentioning Butt sex...well what is put out on the inter-net stays on the inter-net.....forever!  :D

I read A favorable review on Enos and another favorable review on M4C's competition section, also on Calguns. All the "reviews" on the various websites that sell the trigger were also favorable. I say "reviews" like that because I take them with a grain of salt, or paprika, I forget which. Also a dudebro in a wheelchair on YouTube uses one and seems to really like it. He was a Marine, I think, that was paralyzed and has since started gathering some badass firearms and shooting A LOT. Not necessarily a competitive shooter but whatever.

I'm just messing with ya Kurt. I know you know your sht. Its just your posting style, and Trapr's for that matter, leave much to the imagination. I know you both are very busy fellas and I appreciate all the posts you do make here. A little further explanations on some of your posts would be fantastic.

Still trying to figure out a way to come to your class, but its looking kinda gloom and doom if I do. :(

They're all the rage for hi-power. I'd like to replace the RRA 2 stage in my ATAS rifle with one if their SSAs, because I have killed an RRA in fairly short order. In its defense, it did still work even in the throes of death. I think the Noveske guys spoke well of the 3 gun trigger at Enos, but it sounds too weird for me to get used to or like.

I'm going to try to really play with it before HPC. If its too weird, I've never shot a two stage trigger and they're calling this one a 'hybrid' so maybe I can pick up on it, I'll just take it out and mess with it later. Switching right before a big match is probably dumb. :P
