My wife and I are going to have a couple of daycation days this week to make up for a missed motorcycle rally. Any of you guys have a good place to go visit. Right now I think were going to take the bike to Mt. Scott and go have a Meirs burger. Any other suggestions?

the trip to Great Salt Plains is pretty nice. One can drive through the area, and they have short walking trails, observation stations, etc. Its a good day trip.

I think there is a website for just this. One day trips. Travelok.com?

I've spent a lot of time hunting around the Salt Plains. I can see them from my tree stand. I would also consider the opposite end of the state. I had to take a road trip to broken bow a couple weeks ago for work. I had not ever been that far SE in this state. You won't believe you are still in Oklahoma. It was beautiful.

Your absolutly correct. I trout fish at the river below broken bow. Cypress stumps, foggy mornings....reports of a sasquatch
Beautiful area.

A trip to Broken Bow on two wheels? Talamina Ride is a no brainer for that one. One of the best rides in the state.

It was really odd seeing both ends of the state. After spending the last 20 yrs hunting in Alfafa Coutny (NW Oklahoma). Seeing the rolling hills and trees was a nice treat. I've done a lot of fly fishing below the dam at Tenkiller, but I haven't made it to Broken Bow yet. It's on my list of things to do.

I won $1400 at the Choctaw Casino in Broken bow after bringing in only $5 for one spin at a slot machine. So I try not to go near that town again lest I return the money to the Injun nation.

Check out the Choctaw hotel and casino in Durant. Several heated pools, golf nearby, Lake Texoma 10 minutes away. You never have to set foot in the casino if you don't want to.
