What do you do for a living?

They still doing the drill bits there? I almost transferred to the big plant just south of there in Houston after they left OKC, I had about 7 years with them then. Had they not moved I'd likely still be there. I loved that job, we made some really cool chit, just wasn't a fan of that big congested sauna down there. The Woodlands was very very nice though, at least back then it was. B)

Ya they are still doing a lot of the drill bit stuff in that area. That is actually what I will probably be working on. I am looking forward to it. Everyone that I have talked to that works for them has loved their job.
 
I was raised by my dad as as Auto Mech. then worked as as an Aircraft mech. Lost of fun, still like the work just didnt like working for CORP. The last 14 yrs. i have work as a Realtor still have my brokers lic. Work for freinds and family now. Jan. of this year i jumped into a new job with one of my lodge brothers. We mfg brake bands for oil riggs, Pulling grips for elec. companies nation wide, and some oversea's. We have started a new line that takes most of my time. STEEL TARGETS. Our Steel Targets are great fun. I really enjoy my job. I get to talk to poeple like you guys all day. I go to match comp's hangin around talking shop. The one drawback is at the shoot's im on the clock and the boss wont let me shoot with you. I'm working on that. Maybe he will come around to my way of thinking. Not holding my breath.
 
Firefighter full time and construction small remodel stuff on the side.
 
I am a service technicial for a local oil field company. I make sure well service crews install sucker rods in wells in accordance with manufacturer specs. we also sell sucker rods, pumping units and drilling equipment. we currently sell to companys in ok, tx, ks, colorado, new mexico, wyoming, north dakota, lousiana... blah blah blah....
 
So what do you do with the old sucker rod? I know a guy who would like to have some. :unsure:
the ones that are still in good condition get inspected and reused. anything that dosn't make the cut we sell to who ever wants em. i think we have been charging like $6 or $7 a piece.
 
I have been a commercial electrician for 24 years. I have worked for statewide electric for 19 years, and currently sub contracted to MD building products working on 4160 high voltage projects
 
i am needing work. i am a licensed armed guard/ private investigator. last gig i had was at the oklahoman till they pulled out of my area.
 
First I would like to say that Im not trying to boast, but I sell appliances for Metro Appliances and More in Okc. I have been here for 10 years.
 
I sell tax stuff - sounds fun eh? Really its not that bad - new gig - Account Manager for Thomson Reuters in Mississippi and North Louisiana
 
Armed security for St. John for almost 20 years, now at the new BA hospital. Reserve peace officer for 15 years, the last 9 with the TCSO.
 
Start my new job with Great White Energy on Tuesday. Retire from the US Coast Guard after 21 years 6 months on Wednesday.
