I heard that when smith and wesson changed the box color for the M&P from black to blue it also tells you they change the internal parts to make a few of them more durable. Anyone hear the same? Any truth to that? Or is there a production date when they started to put in the differant parts? Or is this just a rumor?

Not sure on the box change but the newer M&p9s are supposed to be coming with the MA SHB to help prevent dead triggers. The other calibers may be as well but the 9s are the only ones I have experience with.

I recently called to order parts for my M&P 9c. After talking with customer service, I found out they were on their third version of the slide lock assembly.
