New Kydex Holster Maker

I got a holster from Triple Crown Holsters the other day and I am impressed! It took exactly 2 days from start to finish and it is a well made well thought out holster. The retention is second to none and yet it is still very fast to work from. when you grab the pistol no part of your hand touches the holster makeing the draw smooth and precise. The inside of the belt loops are textured so it doesn't slide around on the belt and the tensioning screws have a nice wide backer to provide much more even tension on the pistol. Do you have to give him your gun for fitting? I've wondered about this from custom makers. Seems like a local guy wouldn't have one of each gun laying around, or even a bunch of dummy guns.

Depends on the gun. I have, or have access to, most of the common firearms. If it is something unusual, like Kurt's 2011 (6"), then yes I would need to borrow it.

It should be the same as an M&P 9 Pro. If he doesn't have one he can use mine to make you a holster.

I also have a Triple Crown holster for my small frame Glock and am very impressed! The holster rides very well and sits perfectly off my body... no grabbing of my shirt in the draw. The kydex is very thick so there is no fear of it breaking. The belt loops are narrow and do not take up a lot of space on my belt. I strongly recommend this holster!!!

I am also fortunate to have a Triple Crown custom made holster for my 5" SVI limited gun. The fit and finish of this holster is excellent, as well as the positioning and the adjustablilty. The turnaround time was very quick and exactly as promised. I'd rate the quality of this holster as second to none. As Lance stated, the kydex is thick and very durable. If you are looking for a great holster from a maker whose word can be counted on, this is the way to go.

Is the one it came with too tight? I have a friend with that problem. I have the small size and like the factory sheath just fine.

Here are some more pics of the top quality products that Triple Crown Holsters is making. The fit is tight and the retention is adjustable so the pistol will not come out of the holster until you tell it to. Turn around times are very fast (unless he now has a lot of orders stacking up because his product is speaking for itself), unlike many other kydex companies. Great product, I have several more ideas that I'm thinking of having Troy make.
