I would love to spectate a match but this one falls right before finals week so I can't make it. Keep us updated about more matches in the Ponca City area.

We have shoots almost every weekend, and some during the week in the summer.
Hand gun Safari which is a steel silhouette shoot is during the week, as well as some others. We have Ipsc, steel challenges, and .22 rim fire steel shoots on the weekends. They are open to the public, and do not require a membership to the club to shoot.
Come out and join us when you have a chance. Here is what usually happens.... You show up to watch, and wish the heck you had brought your guns.
We have a good time, and hope to see you there!

Well I had my second application sitting on my desk last week waiting for another check so i could stick it in the mail when my boss (wife) saw it. She asked me when the match was. I told her. She reminded me of the "deal" I had made about not shooting any matches in April so that I could shoot my ass off in May and the rest of the year.
So at this point I have sent in my first application and won't be using the slot in the match. I don't want a refund but I wouldn't mind donating my slot to someone. I will contact the match director to see if that is possible.

Rusty, glad you'll get to come! Jesse, isn't there SOME way to convince the Warden for just one shoot in April?? Hasn't she ever seen a grown man cry, and grovel. I'm getting quite good at it.

The match only recognizes Limited and Open due to the high capacity. So you can load those mags up to 15. That way 4-5 mags will be enough for a 60 round stage. If you need more mags I know a guy that has around 10 mags with Dawson precision extensions that hold 20. I'm sure if you agreed to clean them he'd let you borrow them all.

after i fire my first 30 rounds and do a reload, and continue to shoot and confuse the crap out of my trigger finger, and blow though that mag and do another reload bahhahaha an open shooter reloading 3 times in one stage is halarious and i cant wait!

I got out the extra mag holders tonight. This is gonna be insane... One of these stages has 27 pieces of steel a Texas star, and 14 paper targets!!! I'm gonna need every one of the 120 rounds I can go into the stage with. lol.

Well, crap!! I ordered a couple of extra 10 round mags for my Limited 10, and when they came in, I can't load anymore than 7 rounds in them! I can push the follower past that area with a screwdriver, but even using the uplula, it just won't go past 7. :angry:
Talked to Scott today, and he is still in to loaning me a couple, so it will work out all right.
Still waiting on bullets that I ordered early last week to show up. I'm thinking the pony express has a horse that went lame :angry:
I have back-up bullets, so its not going to be a real big deal, just irritating.
Looking at the weather forcast its going to be a perfect day, and will be looking forward to meeting some of you that I've not met before.
I won't be hard to find.
