Why all the Eotecs?

For all you guys using red dots in the new non magnified division why are you using Eotecs?

Are they cheaper, better reticle, lighter, I know it can't be the battery life.

I'd prolly look at a 2 MOA aimpoint for it before an eotec, but maybe you guys know something I don't.

Ah, I didn't know they had a 1 MOA dot, that's a good reason.

From a duty point of view...I prefer the EoTech's field of view compared to the Aimpoint. And they are less expensive.

Aimpoint is a much better serious time sight, EoTech beats the crap out of Aimpoint for competition. There may be a little more view obstruction with an Aimpoint, but you should be shooting with both eyes open anyway on a 1x RDS.
