Just curious as to why this website popped up? It seems there is issues from some of the OSA guys and BS (Boomer Shooters). No I am not an informant or anything I am just serious. I would like to know the real reason there was a riff without names of course.

Its a very long and complicated story, but right now I think everyone is straightened out on what our intentions were and still are
 
We started BoomerShooter in late September / early October to provide a place for those who were serious about shooting, training, competition, and guns. Our who goal is to provide a great community for everyone to have a place to say what they feel and learn as much as they can. We also try everything we can to give back to the members, community, and sport we love.

Hope you will like what you see.
 
We are always spreading the word about our site. But this forum is always gonna be shooting related only. What we don't want is another forum that is filled with BS that has nothing to do with guns.

If you look at our competition, there is only 100 or so active members.

This has been a very successful forum. And alot of it is because we are not a gun forum, we are a shooting forum.

And there still has not been anyone to get banned
 
well I usually tell anyone I know or meet that has an interest in shooting about this community and if all of the other members here do the same (most everyone I know here does) than our community will grow and this site will only get better
 
This is from about 2 months ago, we had 362 members, and now we are at 803. That is a gain of 442 members in just over 2 months
 
I really like OKA, my only gripe really is the mods banning people for no reason. The mods need a chill pill. This site is modeled after OSA in my opinion, just as you stated with most emphasis on the seriousness of shooting, etc.

I guess it is a little similar, but we are a whole different kind of forum. Also of people on osa and other forums for that matter, might go out and shoot 1 time evey couple months. And this site is geared towards comptition as well. The members here are great, not sayin Osa members are bad. I have a good example for you. I have been wanting to shoot a 3 gun match for awhile now, but dont have a shotgun good enough for it. So Jesse is letting me borrow his $1300 Benelli, just so I can come out and shoot this with them. I don't know very many people over there that is kind enough to lend a gun of that magnitude to someone, that they don't know all that well away from here
 
i found OSA first about 3 weeks ago, and then saw in someones signature the link for this site. i then came here and joined and looked around. at first i didn't "get" this site. then the more and more i lingered and read all of you all's posts i started liking this place more and more. then i would go back and forth between here and OSA and started thinking "i don't want to help you name your gun" and "i don't care what your favorite cheeseburger is" and so forth. there is some good info over there, but a lot of it is crap that i don't care about. i LOVE competition shooting. i have only shot IHMSA so far, but I have always wanted to shoot more and this site is my stepping stone into that and i can't wait. it's always been a dream of mine to be on a pistol team. anyway, i no longer get on the other forums and don't miss them at all. i have found my new place!

Glad to hear that you are enjoying the site. And you are more than welcome to come join me at any match, and the same for the other guys on here.
 
yeah as far as expanding member base, i don't want a bunch of internet bullies replying to every post, i like the productive conversations that happen here
