So, how many of you are lefties, and do you buy specific ambi-weapons or do you just put up with right handed weapons? I've tried for the past ten years to only buy left hand friendly guns, but still end up with some RH stuff.

I'm a lefty. Never had a problem with right handed weapons. Actually, it has its advantages....

Im a lefty, I just stay away from bolt guns, sigs, and non ambi 1911's.

SHotguns and rifles have an advantage when theyre rh guns and Im a lefty.

I shoot rifle lefty but pistol righty. I like ambi safeties on my rifles and a left handed safety on the shotgun. Other than that, I only have right handed guns.

Lefty here too...

I grew up shooting right handed rifles so I know no other way when it comes to a rifle or shotgun.

I started shooting pistol with either hand but have decided that left hand grip is my best and so stick with it most all the time now.

Lefty too as well. Most all of my guns are right hand with the exception of a couple of ambi pistols. Always dealt with the right handed guns and it seems that the left handed versions don't seem to hold their value as well.

I'm seeing a trend here. I personally like a LH bolt for a hunting rifle, but do prefer a RH bolt for bench shooting, as well. As for pistols, I did swap my safety/decock on my USP to a variant 2 and like the benefit of not having to alter my grip to unsafe or decock. I guess to LH/RH issue in firearms may very well come down to the old adage that ignorance is bliss. It seems that most who grew up shooting standard firearms just really don't care that they were really designed for those in their Left mind...

I only have one true left handed gun, my remington 581LH that I got in 1967. Not that it really mattered by that time, as I had no problems crossing the rifle with my left hand to operate the bolt. All my miltary bolt rifles are right handed, and I can run them just as fast as most right handers can. My M1 Garand I load with my right hand, having to drop the rifle off my shoulder grabbing under the trigger group with my left hand, and charging an enbloc with right, and bring the rifle right back to my left shoulder ready to rock.

Hand guns, except revolvers, I do appreciate a ambi safety for my left thumb to play with. Revolvers, well I've never felt left out, or out matched going against a right handed shooter.
