Matthew77, I had never been a Kimber fan either until a gunshow last month when I had the opportunity to handle a Kimber TLE/RL II .45 ACP and it was a thing of beauty!

I have never shot a Kimber but they are just too back of the magazine cover popular for me. I want custom builds!!! The thought of Cyrwus half naked in his slippers cutting, fitting, drilling and sweating over my piece just turns my crank. It's that made by hand concept that is very hard to find anymore.

I forgot to throw this is to my post, but to all those who said they weren't sure what they'd do with their Desert Eagle: You'd shoot it until it got too expensive, either literally or philosophically. Taking a Deagle to the range is a guarantee that you'll be shooting someone else's gun. The only detractors are ammo cost, unless you reload, that the iron sights are zeroed at 100 yards (absurd), and if you do reload, trying to save powder. The Deag absolutely requires full power loads for reliability. Otherwise, it's a match-grade two-handed combat handgun, total pleasure.

If I won the lotto, I'd like to have my AMT Automag in .44 mag back. Needed some money really bad in the 80's and sold it for grand back then. I understand they bring in 2500 to 3 grand now.
