So I went to the range this morning and it was great. I felt so good I decided to go out of my norm and buy a Looper IWB holster. I usually wear OWB so I thought I would give it a shot and if I liked it I would later spring on a Milt Sparks. So I'm back at my shop in the bathroom looking in the mirror to see if I needed to reposition the holster. So I went to reposition and PLOP goes the Kimber Super Carry right down onto the concrete floor. It landed on the side of the nose then bounces right to the top of the Meprolite rear site. I think I'll have nightmares of watching it fall and hearing it hit the floor. UGHHH this sucks so bad. Any ideas on who can recoat it for me?

Mike would be who I would choose. With all the talk of shotguns on here you better talk to him quick before he is too back logged.

Mike(Accurate Iron) aka Mike Cyrwus or Donald(HoneyBee). They are both Sponsors on this site, and both of them do outstanding jobs on refinshing guns

Ya I know Mike, he's done a couple guns for me. I'll see if I can get ahold of him to work some magic for me.

Wonder if Mike has a different coating other than DuraCoat? I want something crazy tough
Mike does alot of Cerakote, it 's much tougher than duracoat.
He has very reasonable prices as well.
It you damaged or gouged any of the contours of the steel, there's a chance he may be able to recontour that also.

Sorry about your pistol, I know it's enough to make you sick.

Mike sent my Colt out to be IonBonded, still waiting in it to come back. It is supposed to be the toughest finish money can buy. Its about double if not more than the price of Cerakote. And turn around time is around 6 weeks.

Now thats what I'm looking for. when I bought my Kimber I asked the guy what Kimpro finish was all about and he says it's like one of the toughest finishes on the market. Well the first time at the range the extracted shells left marks on the finish. Now 500 rounds later that spot is almost bear.

That kimpro isn't tough. Mike and don suggested to me that robar np3 for the frame of my cdp. Sorry to here about your dropping it. If you don't want to re finish it I will take it for $175.00.

Robar np3 is a nickel plating that has Teflon in it, I can do that too and your money stays in Oklahoma.

Good to know.

Robar NP3 sounds a lot cooler than nickel plating with Teflon. :)

Actually NP3 is just a nickel plating, if you check out Robar's website they show "NP3 Plus" is the one with Teflon in it.
I have the very same setup they do and can do either, I just don't have that on my website yet.

I cannot use the Robar name because it is their company name
