What gun started your love of firearms?

For me it was a .410 single shot shotgun. I guess I was about 11. My uncle took me and a few others Dove hunting, I was in the back of the pickup, and he saw one for me. I put a bead on it, pulled the trigger, and landed flat on my back on the ground! I was so so excited, I didnt feel a thing! Uncle came around and pulled me up, and only said " you got 'em". LOL, One of my favorite memories!

for me it was a new england 20 gauge and a marlin model 60. i cant begin to tell the number of rounds sent through both.

I never had any guns growing up. But I had the same fascination every boy has with guns. Finally got my first handgun in college - been in love every since

A combination of a WWII 1911 and by brother in law's HK USP .45 got me into guns. My first gun was an HK USPc .40.

the first 2 real ones I shot truly set it off - an uzi my dad had at the time and an AR-15

I always as a small child had a thing for 6 guns and snub nose though...

Hi Badge Bunny!

For me, it was my Remington 22 pump my grandfather gave me when I was 8; as for handguns, it was my brother in laws Colt 45 Commander that really got me involved in shooting

Some kind of bb gun. We would buy the nickel packs of bb's from Western Auto. They were wrapped like the halloween candy you get these days. If you had a little more cash you could buy the quarter packs that were a tube about the size of half a cigar. We wouldn't know what to think if we had seen the big packs they sell at wal-mart these days.
Thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories for me.
I can remember 4 sizes of BB's at the hardware store. The dime and 15 cent packs were crimped paper tubes about the diameter of a 410 shell. Depending on who I bummed some money from set what size I got. I thought I was rich when I got the quarter pack.

My first BB gun was a Daisy model 25 (the pump spring powered model).
I am still attached to my Nylon 66 that I got for Christmas in the 7th grade but have passed it on to my son.
The gun that changed me from using guns as tools or for hunting was a Ruger standard model.
That pistol changed me into being a shooter. I have other Rugers now but still look at Standards sometimes at gunshows.

When I was 5 my dad gave me a Stevens single shot 22. That started it for me. He had my name engraved in the barrel before he gave it to me. When my son turned 5, I had his name engraved in the barrel as well and gave it to him. It's in the safe as we speak (type).

I love some Hoppes #9

For me it was a Remington Model 700 Mountain Rifle in 7mm-08. Killed many my first deer with that - and my dream pistol was an H&K USP - I bought one the day I turned 21 and haven't looked back
not trying to dump on yer choice o cleaning fluids, but shooters choice or something is what you want. hoppes is only for light bore fouling, this crap smells like diesel fuel and kerosene had a sweet sweet love child!

but, as far as love o guns go, i think ruger catalogs got me going. i started out with a red ryder, then a stainless model 60 from walmarts, then up to a p22. now i wanna start working on the teen millimeters. and up... like 120!

Hard for me to say, def not the .410 single shot i first started bird hunting with. I'll have to say BB guns started it all. Shooting sparrows at night while they roosted in the barn in the winter with the use of a flashlight.

I was a late bloomer went shooting for the first time with a buddy of mine in high school and have been hooked ever since my favorites were probably his remington 700 in .308 and a colt 1911 gold cup

Winchester .22 pump action given to me by my grandfather when I was 8. A S&W Model 18 .22 given to me by my grandfather when I was 12. A S&W Model 66 .357 mag given to me by my grandfather when I was 15.

My grampa started my love of firearms.
